Fibromyalgia - A Rough Day

Yesterday was one of those days where the fibromyalgia controlled my every move. Mornings are really painful. The first thing I do is head straight to my medicine. There’s nothing else on my mind but to take my morning dose. Once I’ve taken it, I have to lay or sit until the meds kick in. But yesterday was different. After taking my morning dose, it didn’t relieve the pain enough to where I could function. I walked slower, my body throbbed from head to toe. I knew right then it was going to be a rough day. The weather was cloudy and it looked like rain. That was the answer. My muscles act like a barometer. The same feeling if you have arthritis. Pain, throbbing, burning, just completely uncomfortable within my own skin. My lunch time dose came early, I just couldn’t handle the pain. That helped some but not enough. Days like this I’m so restless, trying my best to find a place where I can be comfortable. The rest of the day was the same and into the night. I hoped that the skys would open up and just storm, just to relieve the pressure. But it didn’t. By 2 a.m. I gave up and went to sleep hoping tomorrow would be better.
